Battlefield 2042

In a recent blog post on the official Battlefield site, DICE has revealed that Battlefield 2042 will be using Epic Games’ Easy Anti-Cheat as its preferred anti-cheat solution of choice. The same anti-cheat is used in multiple games, including EA’s own Apex Legends.

Easy Anti-Cheat is a great choice for the game, since the developer won’t have to focus too much on the security side of things and can instead devote that time and resources to bring more content to the game. In addition to this, Epic Games has also confirmed that Easy-Anti Cheat will be supported on Linux and Mac. along with Proton API compatibility for the Steam Deck, although running the game on Steam Deck’s SteamOS will require additional compatibility with the game’s launcher.

Battlefield 2042 will be releasing in November this year for all major platforms. The game was recently delayed from its original October release, but fans can look forward to the open beta coming later this month.
