Battlefield 2042

Recent leaks had suggested that following its recent delay, Battlefield 2042’s open beta was now set for early October, and that has now been officially confirmed. EA has announced that the open beta for the upcoming multiplayer shooter will begin on October 6 and remain live until October 9.

To be more precise, everyone who pre-ordered the game will be able to play the open beta starting October 6, while everyone else can start jumping in on October 8. Pre-loads will go live on October 5 for everyone. As confirmed in the open beta’s official FAQ, progress from the beta will not carry over into the full game.

And what exactly is going to be included. There will be one mode – Conquest – and one map – Orbital, the site of an ongoing rocket launch – so while players won’t be able to experience new experiences like Battlefield Portal or the mysterious Hazard Zone, we should still get a pretty good feel of how the core gameplay is shaping up. Meanwhile, four Specialists will also be included- Webster Mackay, Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovysky, and Wikus “Casper” Van Daele.

Minimum and recommended PC requirements for the beta and a trailer announcing it have also been revealed. Check it all out below.
