Second screen experiences on smart devices like tablets and smartphones are all the rage these days: after Activision and Ubisoft released companion apps for Call of Duty Ghosts and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag respectively, EA and DICE are releasing the Battlefield 4 Commander app for tablets.

It is right now available only on iPads (iPad 2 and up is supported, and all iPad Mini devices are supported), with a release for Android tablets coming later this month. The Commander app lets players play the Commander mode from Battlefield 4 on their tablets, and it supports all platforms Battlefield 4 is available on. EA and DICE are promising the full Commander Mode experience on the go.

Battlefield 4 was launched on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 a few weeks ago; it will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at their respective launches. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more news, coverage and information about the game.
