At EA’s E3 media briefing yesterday, Battlefield V was, to no one’s surprise, a pretty prominent presence. Lots of new details on the game’s multiplayer side of things were announced, while it was also confirmed that it would indeed have a battle royale mode of its own. Today at Microsoft’s E3 presser, though, we got to take a brief look at the single player side of things.
We know that just like its predecessor, Battlefield V will feature the episodic single player chapters that are together called War Stories, and one of these stories is going to be that of Nordlys, which was teased at EA’s event and looked at a little more deeply at Microsoft’s. Its focus seems to be decidedly more personal in nature than what one might expect, with the players’ main goal being reunifying with their character’s – who is no more than a child – family.
You can take a look at the trailer below (via YouTube channel MKIceAndFire). It doesn’t show any gameplay, unfortunately, but it’s definitely an interesting look at the narrative setup. Battlefield V is due out in October for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Stick with GamingBolt for continued coverage.
