DICE and Electronic Arts have announced “temporary adjustments” to the XP-earnings system in Battlefield 6’s new Strikepoint mode to maintain “fair and consistent progression.” The changes come after reports of players exploiting the mode to earn experience at an excessive rate in short sessions.

According to the announcement, the DICE identified an issue affecting the amount of XP earned. “We’ve identified an issue that was affecting the amount of XP earned in the Strikepoint mode. To maintain fair and consistent progression, we’ve made some temporary adjustments to XP in this mode while we investigate a longer-term solution. Thank you for your understanding, and we will update you when further changes are made.”

While the full exploit details were not disclosed, community posts indicate that the issue involved custom server setups or early match conditions allowing players to exploit the scoring/XP system. For example:

“If one team quits the match during the side switch (at halftime, when the score is 0-5), the remaining team receives massive XP rewards.”

The temporary adjustments reportedly include reduced XP rewards for certain high-yield activities in the mode, especially in circumstances where the exploit could be triggered. The studio emphasised that while the changes are provisional, a more permanent fix will arrive via a future patch.

Bottom line: If you play Strikepoint in Battlefield 6, don’t expect the same high-XP gains you may have seen recently. The change is intentional, temporary, and designed to stop exploit-based progression. Legitimate players will likely find the system more stable and fair once the full fix lands.
