Anarchy reigns as Bayonetta returns.

The Bullet Witch is back, as Nintendo showcased Bayonetta 2 at its E3 edition of Nintendo Direct. We get a faint look at returnign characters while a mysterious character faces off against Bayonetta herself. The two have themselves an enormous aerial battle in an otherworldly setting.

Many of Bayonetta’s abilities come to light, including usnig her hair as a weapon. Also, Bayonetta has cut her hair short.

Summoned monsters also make an appearance with the boss from the beginning of the first game making a cameo. Of course, Bayonetta has her own summoned creature, which we’re pretty sure is her hair. The gameplay trailer itself shows her just tearing apart enemies with this creature, among other attacks.

Heck, there’s even a secret, unknown character being teased – aside from the figure that Bayonetta was attacking. Coincidence? We think not!

Developed by Platinum Games, Bayonetta 2 will be releasing in 2014 for Wii U.
