Bayonetta Steam Release Teased by Sega

Mysterious countdown timer emerges.

Posted By | On 01st, Apr. 2017

Even though it’s April Fool’s Day, Sega could have something up its sleeve with Bayonetta.

An 8-bit version of the game recently released on Steam for free, complete with its own Achievements. Those who unlocked the Achievements would see bits of a picture next to each. The overall result was a picture of Bayonetta herself along with a URL for a teaser site.

The teaser site itself contains a countdown for 9 days, 17 hours later and you can see Bayonetta’s heels in he background. While this all could be some kind of big April Fool’s joke, the whole point of the day is to bamboozle those on April 1st itself. Why have a countdown for April 10th?

There’s also the fact that with Nier: Automata’s decent performance on Steam that Sega would be willing to bring Bayonetta to the platform and bolster sales. What do you think the case could be? Let us know in the comments.
