Following its launch yesterday, Beast of Reincarnation will receive a “series of continuous updates,” per Game Freak. The next patch, planned to arrive within the week, will include camera adjustments and “story pacing” improvements.
The latter will apparently receive ongoing adjustments, which could mean further changes down the line. It’s also implementing increased text size, bug fixes, and changing the default setting from Cinematic to Performance for the visuals. Of course, all of this is subject to change, so keep that in mind.
The tweet about taking player feedback “to heart” arrives after a 73 aggregate score on Metacritic and “Mixed” reception on Steam, with only 53 percent of 1,715 user reviews at this time recommending it. Several complaints revolve around exactly what Game Freak is looking to address.
However, there have also been complaints about lackluster enemy variety, some dull characters, and underwhelming exploration since the action-adventure title’s launch. As we noted in our review, there are certainly some bumps to overcome in the initial hours, but Beast of Reincarnation opens up as you unlock more skills and delve deeper into the story.
Regardless, improving the set-up will do wonders to get more players in, especially since it’s available on Game Pass. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days about what the developer has planned for the future.
