Bethesda Softworks has announced that its Bethesda Launcher, which could be used to play titles like Fallout 76 on PC, is being retired. It will go away in May but in early April, all players will be able to migrate their game libraries, progress and funds to Steam. Saves will also be migrated (though some titles require manual transferring) and a Bethesda.net account is still going to be used for logging into certain titles.

Bethesda.net account access will be required for accessing in-game skins, mods and whatnot. The company also notes that you won’t lose access to your games in May – just the ability to play them on the Bethesda Launcher. Once the migration process becomes available, players can start it whenever they please.

Migration to PlayStation or Xbox or even any other PC service other than Steam won’t be possible. Your Bethesda.net Friends List will also merge for titles like RAGE 2, Fallout 76, DOOM Eternal, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, The Elder Scrolls: Legends and Deathloop. Stay tuned for more details on the exact date for migration in the coming weeks.
