Bethesda Vice president for PR & marketing Pete Hines has confirmed that he won’t be at the upcoming Spike VGX Awards and that the company has nothing to show, thus stifling any rumours of Fallout 4 being unveiled.

Speaking on Twitter, Hines said, “I am not going to VGX. Bethesda is not showing/talking about anything at VGX.” He’ll apparently be in Los Angeles for various meetings, but despite that – and TheSurvivor2299 site that is still getting people worked up, despite its suspected validity – there was still hope that Fallout 4 would be showcased.

Teased since just before E3 2013, Fallout 4 is rumoured to be Bethesda’s next big single-player project. It was supposedly shown behind closed doors at E3 and the rumour mill has been churning non-stop to dig up new bits of information on the game. As of now, there’s nothing solid. We’ll just have to wait and watch as always.

The Spike VGX Awards are set to take place on December 7th.
