Bethesda Urges Fans To Remain Patient Regarding Technical Issues On Consoles

Posted By | On 15th, Nov. 2011

Skyrim is having some issues on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as you all know. PS3 version is experiencing heavy slowdown as we reported here, and the Xbox 360 version has some texture streaming issues. Bethesda has mentioned that they are looking at these problems but they haven’t mentioned an ETA for the patch.

Understandably fans are upset with these issues and want a patch as soon as possible. Pete Hines, Bethesda’s Community manager tried to calm down some of the fans and urged them to remain patient.

“Patches/updates take a little time. We can’t turn it around quite that fast. It’s been three days. Calm down. We’re working on it,” Hines responded to an angry fan who said, “They’re already counting their money.”

He also said that they’re working on all the three platforms, so the patch will be delayed a little. “We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address issues any bugs and perf issues we can,” he said.

Compared to the consoles, the game has less issues on the PC and it is also the best way to play Skyrim. Stay tuned for our review soon of the game.
