The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition is getting a fair bit of recognition for its visuals but one Reddit user noted how the audio quality had been degraded in the PC version.

Didn’t notice? We don’t blame you but the user in question had plenty of data to support his findings and even noted how the PS4 version actually has better quality audio. Thankfully, Bethesda community global lead Matt Grandstaff chimed in to state that the developer is “currently testing a fix and hope to have an update out next week”.

Overall, the reception to Skyrim Special Edition is favourable though typical – how else could you rate Skyrim after all these years? At least the dungeons, quests and overall exploration are still fun.

Regardless, we’ll let you know when the patch goes live and whether the audio quality sees a significant uptick in quality so stay tuned for more information.
