Looks like Beyond Good and Evil 2 may actually be happening- just earlier this week, we got a tease for the game thanks to Michel Ancel sharing some concept art for the game on his Instagram– something that got fans of the original game, who have been waiting for nigh on a decade for a sequel, into a tizzy. And now, Ancel is fanning the flames, while simultaneously adding fuel to them, because he’s shared yet another bit of artwork for the game.

The new artwork features an anthropomorphic shark, which fans of the original game will recognize as evoking Akuda Bar’s Francis and Rufus. The new artwork doesn’t necessarily look like concept art, and may well be an in game model- it’s hard to tell for now.

The original Beyond Good and Evil was released on Xbox, PlayStation 2, Gamecube, and PC, with a remaster released later for Xbox 360 and PS3. The sequel has been rumored for a while now, and may allegedly be a Nintendo NX exclusive.
