Biomutant launched recently after numerous delays and years of anticipation, and while there’s definitely a good number of players out there who’re enjoying the open world action RPG, it’s fair to say that by and large, the game has failed to live up to expectations. A number of issues are, of course, just baked into the experience, but there are some that can be addressed- and will be addressed soon, it seems.
Developer Experiment 101 recently took to Twitter via the game’s official page and confirmed that the first update for the game is currently in the works, and will be making changes and fixing bugs “based on community feedback.” This will include addressing issues with dialogue pacing, narrator settings, difficulty, graphical settings for things such as motion blur and depth of field, tuning for loot and enemies, and other issues in sound and combat. By the looks of it, it’s going to be a pretty comprehensive update. The developer also says that the patch will likely arrive for PC before it does for consoles, though an exact timeframe for when to expect it hasn’t been given.
In our review of Biomutant, we awarded it a score of 5/10, saying, “Biomutant works best on paper, but it has too many derivative elements for anything alone to stand out.” You can read our full review through here.
Biomutant is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
We are working on the pacing of dialogues, narrator settings, difficulty settings, video settings like depth of field and motion blur, loot and enemy tuning as well as sound and combat.
