Bioware Claims Dragon Age: Inquisition Will Have 40 Different Ending Variations

That's a lot of colors, guys.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

Everything that Bioware says about the number of possible endings in their games should be taken with a pinch of salt. After all, they promised absolutely unique endings for Mass Effect 3 that would be shaped by and tailored by your decisions made over the course of three Mass Effect games, and… it turned out to come down to selecting one of three different colors, and getting a canned ending.

On the other hand, one has to think they learned from the general backlash surrounding Mass Effect 3. And tha surrounding Dragon Age 2. So one must think that they won’t mess Dragon Age Inquisition up, right?

Well, hopefully. And hopefully, they really mean what they promise to us about the game this time. Take this, for instance:

‘[Dragon Age Inquisition will have] 40 major endings with additional variations.’

I mean, I hope this is true, especially because the game looks so great, but I don’t know Bioware. It’s a case of once bitten, twice shy, and I’ll believe it when I see it, I suppose.
