Bioware’s Anthem May Possibly Support Virtual Reality

VR support for Anthem would indeed be a great idea.

Bioware’s Anthem looks to be one of the most ambitious games that the storied developer has worked on in a very ling time- since, at least, the original Dragon Age and Mass Effect a decade ago now. The game, which seems like a Bioware take on the Destiny and Division formula, looks to offer players a vast persistent world that they can then go traipsing in in co-op.

It also looks spectacular, so we know that all of Bioware’s technical chops are going into this game; but it looks like there may be more to that than has been known so far. Bioware’s Jay Watamaniuk posted a picture on Twitter of a party, that seemed to be innocuous enough, until a user on Reddit pointed out that if you look towards the left, you can see the words ‘Anthem VR’ as a sign over a door.

So… what does this mean? Is there a VR version of Anthem in the works? Would it be the full game, or just parts of it? Will it be only for the PC version, or will PSVR also be supported? Hopefully, Bioware does announce VR support for the game- it’s the kind of game that would benefit greatly from it.
