Black Desert Online Heading to Steam on May 24th

Black Desert account still required.

Ever wanted to play Black Desert Online but weren’t a fan of the grindy mechanics or use of a separate launcher? Good news then because it’s heading to Steam on May 24th for North America and Europe.

A Black Desert account is still required via the website but all players will be on the same servers regardless. The bad news is that if you already have an account, it won’t be transferred to Steam.

While the developer hasn’t confirmed how much Black Desert Online will cost, the in-game currency Daum Cash can be acquired with Steam funds. Achievements are still in the works but trading cards can be unlocked at launch.

As for the grindy aspects, the game will launch will all of its updates thus far and the combat is pretty fun. Will it be available for regions like Asia? Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think of the announcement in the comments below.
