Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong achieved an unbelievable sales milestone after selling 10 million copies less than a week after its launch. However, the action RPG is now confirmed to have sold 18 million units within two weeks, making it one of the fastest-selling games in history.

This was revealed by Daniel Wu of Hero Games, Game Science’s largest external shareholder, to Bloomberg. He also confirmed that Wukong was developed on a budget of $70 million over six years and believes it can eventually reach 30 million lifetime sales.

Black Myth: Wukong is available on PS5 and PC – we awarded both versions a 10 out of 10, praising the combat, art direction, graphics, and boss fights. An Xbox Series X/S version is in development, though Game Science hasn’t provided an ETA. Still, rumors regarding its delay – from an exclusivity deal with PlayStation to tech issues – continue to abound. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
