Black Ops 2 PC will have dedicated servers

Posted By | On 18th, Jun. 2012

When it was announced last year that Modern Warfare 3 will not have dedicated servers on the PC, tons of accusations and criticisms were thrown Infinity Ward’s way, since the previous installment in the series- Black Ops in 2010- had supported dedicated servers.

PC COD gamers, rejoice. Dedicated servers are, Treyarch’s director of technology Cesar Stastny has confirmed.

“Confirmed: Ranked Dedicated Servers for #BlackOps2,” he confirmed via Twitter.

Treyarch had recently stated that the PC version of Black Ops 2 is being developed separately by a dedicated team, leading fans to believe that they will be supporting the system to its fullest. Looks like they’re gonna be living up to their promise.

Black Ops 2 releases in November for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. A Wii U release is also rumoured.
