Blade Runner Enhanced Edition

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of seminal cyberpunk movie Blade Runner, Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition has now been released on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made by Nightdive Studios, in partnership with Alcon Interactive. Check out the trailer below.

Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition is a modern restoration of the classic adventure game originally released in 1997. The original was praised for its faithful recreation of the movie’s setting. The Enhanced Edition features support for 4K resolution and 60 fps.

Originally set to release earlier, Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition was delayed back in 2020. Nightdive CEO Stephen Kick spoke about the problems in remastering the game and difficulty in finding the game’s original source code and assets.

The release of Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition lines up almost perfectly with the 40th anniversary of the Blade Runner movie, which was originally released in June 1982.
