Blizzard May Be Working On A New First Person Game, According To Job Listing

Not Overwatch, but a new, unannounced project.

Overwatch Blizzard

Blizzard never quite stop making games- they take a lot of time with each of their projects, sure, but they never stop making them. And each game that they make is remarkably special, which is why so many people care about what the developer might be working on next.

And what is it that they are working on next? Well, presumably many things, but one of them will probably be a new, unannounced first person video game, if this job listing (via DSO Gaming) on their website is any indication.

“Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced engine engineer to work on a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project. The ideal applicant has demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers to success, has a vision for how a scalable, performant and technically excellent engine should be built, and has a passion for adopting state of the art rendering technology to implement visually stunning games.”

If they hadn’t specified unannounced project, I would have assumed that this listing was for Overwatch, which, with its incredibly active community, will require support for years to come at this point (something that Blizzard are well known for anyway). But now we know that it’s for a new game- I wonder what that could be.
