In news that sells me on pretty much any game all by itself, Blizzard has confirmed that its long awaited, first foray into the shooter genre, Overwatch, will have an FOV slider. This means I no longer need to worry about motion sickness when playing the game! Huzzah!

“We’ve implemented the FOV slider to provide players with options in consideration of aiming preferences, viewmodels, dizziness and nausea,” the developer told GamesOnNet in a statement. “We are constantly fine-tuning the game, and will remain open to feedback as testing continues.”

Okay, but really, FOV sliders aren’t exactly a rarity on PC games, unlike consoles- on PC, they are pretty much the standard in every game. Still, Blizzard had made no confirmation about the ability to adjust FOV until now, so it’s good to see this being confirmed.

Overwatch will launch in beta later this year. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
