BlizzCon 2026

BlizzCon is returning next year, occurring at the Anaheim Convention Center in California from September 12th to 13th. It will be Blizzard Entertainment’s first convention since it cancelled last year’s event.

It’ll be a while until the developer can discuss the games that will appear, but it confirmed the return of the Opening Ceremony and in-depth panels. Attendees can look forward to hands-on gameplay, the Darkmoon Faire, and “friendly competition.” According to Blizzard, the goal is to “meaningfully elevate this iconic celebration and create an unforgettable experience for all who take part in it.

“We are building this event just like we build our games: with a deep commitment to our players, with respect for your connections to our universes, and as a celebration of the strength of the bonds formed through shared adventure.”

It’s likely that BlizzCon staples like the cosplay competition and esports events will also occur, though they’ve yet to be confirmed. As it stands, the company is seeing moderate success under Microsoft, with Overwatch 2, World of Warcraft and Diablo 4 receiving regular support. So it’s a safe bet that all three will appear in some capacity next year.

We may even see some older franchises like StarCraft reappear if it doesn’t get any announcements this year. Stay tuned for potential updates in the meantime.
