Sony announced at TGS that they were going to be bringing a piece of DLC for Bloodborne titled The Old Hunters. While we know this new content is coming on November 24 there isn’t a whole lost of information to be had beyond that. One new little tidbit is that Sony and From Software aren’t expecting to put out any more DLC for the very successful game. We also got a little more information from Sony Japan producer Masaaki Yamagiwa who recently sat down with Eurogamer shortly after the game content was announced.
Among the info he spilled was the fact that the team had originally planned to release two different sets of DLC. In the end, the developers decided that they wanted to spend more time and attention on this particular piece of content. He added that at this point there are no plans to make any other kind of DLC. While that doesn’t completely close the door on something after Old Hunters, it certainly seems as though Sony and From are going to be turning their attention to other things.
From Software clearly has other projects it’s working on, including the 2016 release of Dark Souls 3. Despite that future focus, it appears the DLC for Bloodborne is going to plenty entertaining. Yamagiwa said that there are going to be new weapons and bosses, but players will also be able to meet some of the “old heroes of Yharnam.” Bloodborne: The Old Hunters is coming to the PS4 on November 24, 2015.
