Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night’s Newest Video Shows How Far The Game’s Graphics Have Come

This game has come a very long way.

Bloodstained.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the upcoming Metroidvania in the vein of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (in case the name did not give that away) by the creator of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, is almost here. And today, to show us how far the game has come along all the years that it has spent in a very public and front-facing development cycle, Koji Igarashi shared a brand new video of the game on its Kickstarter page.

The video compares the graphics of the game as they were in June 2018 with how they are right now. There’s a very marked and clear visual improvement (which the video aims to demonstrate), including better lighting, sharper textures, more defined character and object models, far better shadows, and more. You can check out the video for yourself below. There’s also some cool new gameplay footage for you to keep your eyes peeled for, of course.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night launches for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC this Summer.
