Bobby Kotick Unsure about EA’s Star Wars, says some thought provoking things

Posted By | On 29th, Nov. 2011

Ladies and gentlemen, take your seat. It’s time for another round of EA vs Activision. But there is a twist! This time it’s Activision that’s doing the trash talking. Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision had some interesting words to say about rival EA’s Star Wars MMO.

As you know, Kotick has World of Warcraft in his arsenal, but considering his comments he does find it a worthy competitor.

“Lucas is going to be the principal beneficiary of the success of Star Wars. We’ve been in business with Lucas for a long time and the economics will always accrue to the benefit of Lucas, so I don’t really understand how the economics work for Electronic Arts,” he said to Reuters.

Ouch, that is one low blow. He probably means, “Hey EA, we make money out of Wow, but even if Star Wars is successful, you won’t.”
