Borderlands 2 Trailer Teases New Vault Hunter

The silhouette of a deranged experiment was showcased at SXSW.

An erstwhile individual captured some off-screen camera footage of Borderlands 2 at SXSW Interactive as Gearbox Software revealed a new teaser for its next DLC.

A silhouetted creature, for lack of a better word, could be seen tearing up enemies. We don’t really know much about who or what it is, but it is confirmed to be the sixth Vault Hunter that Gearbox will add to the line-up. The last DLC character to be added was Gaige and her robot companion Deathtrap.

There’s no news on when the DLC will be released, much less revealed, but Gearbox is inviting “Research Subjects” for job openings. Probably lampshading the fact that their sixth character is an escaped experiment suddenly driven by the need to loop?

Borderlands 2 is currently in the process of receiving an update that will raise the level cap for all available characters. Whether this is an indication that we’ll be seeing that soon or not remains to be seen.
