Borderlands 3 is an accomplished looter shooter, which is the least of what you’d expect from a Borderlands game, but one thing that was missing from the game at launch – which quite a few people pointed out – was dedicated loot drops, with players instead having to contend with world drops.
Soon, though, Gearbox will be adding dedicated loot drops to their first person shooter. In a recent stream on Twitch, Gearbox Software confirmed that the feature will be coming to Borderlands 3 soon- though they did not reveal a date (or even a rough window) for when that’ll happen. Either way, one would assume – or hope, at the very least – that it’s not too far out.
Since its launch, Borderlands 3 has been selling very well for 2K Games, to no one’s surprise. In the US, it debuted in the September sales charts as the second best-selling game, also enjoying the best launch month ever for the Borderlands franchise.
The game is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and will be launching with Stadia next month. As per the game’s director, a Switch port isn’t necessarily out of the question either.
