Borderlands 3 - Amara (2)

Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 will soon have a new mini-event called Rare Chest Riches. The basic gist is that every rare chest opened will have an increased Legendary drop rates. If you’re watching a streamer on Twitch and the ECHOcast extension is enabled, then this will also apply every time a streamer opens a rare chest.

The event will be available till February 13th but there’s more that’s coming up today. The new hotfix will also increase the spawn rates for Rare Spawns, Targets of Opportunity and Hammerlock Hunts while also buffing their Legendary and Anointed drop chances. And though the scaled down Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite event was supposed to be temporary, it’s now a permanent addition to the game.

In fact, future Takedown activities will have scaling active. Don’t worry though – if you want to solo the four player co-op version, then a patch will be out later this month to enable True Takedown Mode. A machine will be added at the map’s beginning to toggle the True Takedown Mode. Stay tuned for more details on this in the coming weeks.
