Borderlands 3 – “Show Me The Eridium” Event Coming Today

Gearbox Software continues its 10 year anniversary celebration for the Borderlands series. Borderlands 3 will see a new event called “Show Me The Eridium”, which goes live today at 3 PM PDT and dramatically increases Eridium drops in-game. The event will be live until October 22nd.

Eridium can be obtained from normal enemies for the event’s duration and Mayhem Mode will see increased drops overall. You can even avail of discounts at Moxxi’s Vault Line slot machine and Crazy Earl’s. So if you’re looking to purchase cosmetics or Anointed Weapons from Earl, this is the event for you.

Of course, some Eridium deposits will require smashing which is only possible via a special item obtained through the story. Play up till Eden-6 to ensure you obtain the item. Other events coming to Borderlands 3 include Mayhem on Twitch from October 22nd to 29th and Spooky Surprise from October 29th to November 4th. The latter will likely serve to introduce the upcoming Bloody Harvest Halloweent event so stay tuned.
