Following up on the deluge of Vex content for Borderlands 4, Gearbox Entertainment focuses on Rafa, the former Exo-Soldier, and his capabilities. A former Tediore soldier, he wields an exo-suit with three unique Action Skills: Arc Knives, Peacebreaker Cannons and Apophis Lance. Check out a breakdown of all three below.
Arc Knives are fairly straightforward as Rafa unsheathes two blades and slices enemies in third-person. Select Augments allow for restoring health with each kill during the Action Skill, but you can also opt to keep it going at the cost of his HP. Peacebreaker Cannons provide two shoulder-mounted guns that can target select foes, and depending on the Augment, you can change these to shotguns, rockets, or to deal Ordnance damage.
Finally, there’s Apophis Lance, a cannon which fires charged shots and also fits Rafa’s grenade motif with an Augment that spawns a grenade on slain foes. You can also upgrade it to have more projectile size and speed or turn it into an incendiary laser, among other Capstones.
Borderlands 4 arrives on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with its Nintendo Switch 2 version landing on October 3rd after recently going gold. Stay tuned for more details on Rafa and other Vault Hunters in the coming weeks.
