Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Behind the Scenes Episode 2 Explains the Butt Slam

Among other things.

Gearbox Software isn’t quite behind the upcoming Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, instead commissioning 2K Australia to do much of the heavy lifting. However, stylistically and in tone, the interlude between the first two games carries much of the humour, over-the-top action and insanity. Check out the second Behind the Scenes video for the game above, which goes into detail about the game’s new Butt Slam mechanic.

In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, you’ll be on Pandora’s moon and utilize space suits with jump jets for reaching higher places. Movement will be a little different this time around but in order to ensure you reach the ground faster, you can employ the Butt Slam. This is essentially a ground stomp mechanic and can be imbued with different elemental effects to further damage enemies.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel releases on October 14th in North America and October 16th in Europe for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Looking forward to it? Let us know below.
