Bravely Default Launch Trailer Looks Glorious

Throwback JRPG may also be a brave step into the future.

Posted By | On 05th, Dec. 2013

The beautiful looking 3DS exclusive JRPG, Bravely Default, finally launches in Europe and Australia this month (us poor North Americans will have to wait till February 7, 2014), and to rub it in- er, to celebrate- Nintendo UK have released a launch trailer for the beautiful looking game.

The trailer shows off the game’s innovative battle system, which has two unique hooks to it, the ‘Brave’ system, and the ‘Defualt’ system (which is also where the game gets its rather nonsensical name from), in addition to showing off the game’s innovative features such as its use of the 3DS’s StreetPass functionality.

If you want to check out the game right now, there is a demo up on the European and Australian eShop for you to give it a spin. Or you could just wait for the December 6 release, and pick it up at launch. There’s even a special collector’s edition which includes the packaged version of the game and exclusive items such as an Agnès figurine, deluxe artbook, set of AR Cards and original soundtrack CD, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Bravely Default launched in Japan in 2011; its PAL release is on December 7 this year, with the North American release following exactly two months later, on February 7 2014. It is available exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS line of systems. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
