Developer Serafini Productions and publisher Sochiku have released a new trailer for its psychological horror game BrokenLore: Unfollow. The title is a first-person horror title that focuses on the dangers and impact that social media has on the mental health of people. Check out the trailer, which shows off the creepy enemies and atmospheric areas, below.

BrokenLore: Unfollow puts players in the shoes of Anne – a victim of bullying that has seemingly gotten trapped in a strange nightmare. To escape this nightmare, Anne has to solve a dark mystery before she can ultimately confront the creatures that are haunting her. To do so, she must come to terms with the choices she has made in the past, while also making sure that the roaming creatures don’t find her.

Among the themes explored in the horror game include mental health, bullying, and body dysmorphia, all of which are portrayed throughout the title through the use of symbolism. Depending on the choices made by the player during their time with BrokenLore: Unfollow, the title has multiple endings that can be unlocked. Along with this, there is also quite a bit of emphasis placed on Anne’s smartphone, and how she uses it, since it will also serve important gameplay functions.

BrokenLore: Unfollow is coming to PC and PS5 on January 16.
