Bungie Already Looking Beyond Taken King And Possibly Towards Destiny 2

One would hope.

Destiny Hunter

While most of Bungie’s attention is squarely focused on getting Destiny’s DLC Taken King ready for release, the company wants everyone to be aware that it isn’t the only thing the company is focused on. There is all kinds of new content and weapons and tools that are coming with the DLC but it appears the company is wisely looking at what it can offer the next time it launches a DLC pack, as well as what sorts of things it wants to add in the games that are coming way down the pike.

Engineering Lead Luke Timmins recently spoke to GamesRadar and talked about how Bungie is working on both the Taken King and future projects. Timmins used the very colorful language of claiming that if someone tossed a brick through the windows at Bungie, they would see a rather large group working on the upcoming content. At the same time, the designer says the person who was peering through this shattered window would also see a smaller group, who is actively working on what comes next.

This isn’t exactly a surprise, considering neither Bungie nor Activision have exactly kept it a secret that they want Destiny to be a near decade long project. There are going to be sequels, as well as additional DLC released almost constantly over the next decade. With that in mind, it would seem like Bungie almost has to make sure there is someone at least brainstorming what the next bit of content is going to be.
