If you’ve been keeping track of Destiny for the past few weeks – and quite frankly, who hasn’t given the number of leaks that occurred regarding upcoming DLC? – then you’ll no doubt have heard of Bungie’s gifts for Guardians. These gifts were meant to celebrate Christmas but would arrive after New Year’s. Earlier this week, Bungie promised a “small but legendary” gift for players.

If you log into the game and head to the Postmaster, you’ll see a package from an “Unknown Benefactor”. Opening this will grant you a Legendary weapon from the Vanguard. Thus far, players have reported picking up weapons such as Another NITC, Coiled Hiss 1919 and the LDR-5001. There’s a chance of rolling perks separate from the Vanguard Quartermaster’s stock but don’t expect that sweet Vanquisher VIII auto rifle from New Monarchy.

What are your thoughts on this “legendary” gift from Bungie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
