Bungie Responds to Destiny’s Three of Coins Exotic Farming

"For now, this works in your favour."

Destiny

Exotic farming in Destiny: The Taken King is the new thing thanks to the Three of Coins, a consumable sold by Xur that increases one’s chances of an Exotic engram from dropping on your next Ultra kill. The problem is that it can be used to effectively farm smaller bosses excessively, thus resulting in tons of Exotic engrams dropping.

It seems Bungie is already aware of as much. Community manager Cozmo stated on the Bungie forums that, “DeeJ and I were just conferring with the Design Team about how Three of Coins is performing in the wild. They are aware that the drop rates are too damn high, but for now this works in your favor. You earned those coins. Have fun spending them. The Nine may be delighted that you’re blowing them all now.”

Essentially, enjoy your coins while you can because nerfs are incoming.
