Welp.

The Destiny alpha was announced exclusively for PlayStation by Sony last week at their E3 conference (ahead of an exclusive Destiny beta later on as well). People have since been playing the game, and Bungie has since announced that it plans on extending the alpha play period of the game a little more… but it has also added, rather enigmatically, that what players find should they choose to continue playing in the alpha may not necessarily be to their liking.

There’s a rumor that the #Destiny Alpha might be extended to allow dangerous experiments. Play beyond the official close at your own risk!” they said on their Twitter.

It is, of course, unclear as to whether they were being facetious, or whether they seriously do have something unpleasant planned for stragglers (which could be anything from account deletion to some catastrophic in story event). In any case, we’ll keep you posted.
