The Xbox One’s temporary price cut to $50 may have ended, but Microsoft are going to keep it attractive for new buyers by having another equivalent promotion in place- pick up a new Xbox One for $350, and you get a $50 gift card. This promotion is available across United States, and all of the country’s biggest retailers – Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, Target – are participating.

Of course, whether or not this offer will be effective, when the sticker price for the console itself is back at $350 (equivalent to the PS4- as a reminder, the Xbox One’s temporary price drop down to $300 did not put it over the PS4 in terms of sales performance) remains to be seen. But at the very least, it is good to see Microsoft continue to create value for new buyers.

You can visit this Xbox.com page to see all the available Xbox One bundles and retailer information. For details on whether this promotion had any effect on the Xbox One’s sales performance, we will have to wait for the NPD report that comes out in June, since that will be the one covering sales in May.
