Explosions in space, what ever will they think of next?

Here is what we know of this year’s Call of Duty game conclusively- it exists. Here is what we think we know- that it will be developed by Infinity Ward, and that it will have a space setting, the former being based on simple common sense, as well as numerous hints from Activision and Infinity Ward themselves, the latter on some rather convincing leaks and rumors.

Now, here’s a new bit of information to combine with all of that other disparate information- according to a new job listing on Activision’s website, the studio is looking for a temporary visual effects artist, who will be able to create realistic destruction and explosions- which, aggregated with everything else we have on the game so far, seems to indicate that Call of Duty this year will have some pretty realistic explosions… in space.

Of course, saying that Call of Duty will have explosions is like saying that the next Street Fighter game will have fighting- it’s so obvious that you have to wonder at why it needed to be spelled out in the first place. Call of Duty 2016 is expected to be shown at E3 this year.
