Call of Duty 2017 World War 2 Is Sledgehammer’s Biggest Project, Development Moving “Full Speed” Ahead

"This year, we will release our biggest game-making project to date."

Call of Duty 2017 hasn’t actually been announced yet, so we do not know- officially- just what kind of a game it will be. However, thanks to leaks, we do know that it seems like the series is going back to its World War II roots. Developers Sledgehammer, it seems, are quite excited to share information on the game with us.

They recently posted a blog on Activision’s official website, talking about construction going on in their studio building that will see them expanding, and in that blog, they said that this year’s Call of Duty title will be their biggest project to date. “This year, we will release our biggest game-making project to date,” they wrote. “We are extremely excited to reveal it to the world and to you, our HammerHeads.

“With an incredible team of talented developers and hard-working innovators, all that’s left in the equation is a workspace that matches the level of excellence that Hammers strive towards,” they continued, referring to the expansion of their studio building. “Sawing through floors and cutting out chunks to make way for the creative vision we’ve had for our studio has been an exciting and rewarding experience. And our devs are loving the new changes so far.”

“The game is moving full-speed ahead, and so is construction,” they finished.
