Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be releasing alongside Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered and Raven Software has been confirmed to be developing the latter. Raven Software is noted for having worked on Modern Warfare and Ghosts.
Raven Software studio head Brian Raffel noted that, “The original Modern Warfare raised the bar on video games and forever will be remembered as one of the best. It’s an honor to be developing the remaster and we are committed to faithfully remastering this classic for Call of Duty fans.”
It was also confirmed that the remaster would have 10 of the original’s multiplayer maps including Crash, Backlot and Crossfire. Activision also noted that the remaster would have fully improved texture resolution and detail, HDR lighting, improved animation, lit and shadowing VFX particles and so on. You’ll be able to experience the whole campaign from start to finish.
If that weren’t enough, Activision revealed pricing for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s Legacy Editions. The Legacy and Digital Legacy Edition would feature Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered at $79.99. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes both these game and the Season Pass for $99.99. The Legacy Pro Edition includes all three items along with a Steelbook, official soundtrack, and “additional digital items” (likely XP boosters and weapons) for $119.99.
