One of the many criticisms of the Call of Duty franchise has been its single-player campaign, either because it’s been too short or simply disposable for the sake of multiplayer. Sledgehammer Games has proven this isn’t the case for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s campaign, though we’ll find out how the actual gameplay works when it releases. At the very least, studio co-founder Glen Schofield promised it would be longer than past entries.
Confirming the same on Twitter, Schofield was asked how long or short the campaign was. “Coming in longer than the last few,” he stated.
A new trailer was also released today to hype up the single-player campaign, multiplayer and reveal footage from the Exo Survival mode, which you can read more details about here. It looks pretty cool and fits the tone of the game, unlike Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Extinction mode or the Zombies mode from Black Ops.
