Like Call of Duty: Ghosts last year, Sledgehammer Games will offer players who buy Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the PS3 and Xbox 360 a free upgrade to the PS4 and Xbox One versions. You’ll need to purchase a digital copy before March 31st 2015 for the deal to remain valid.

It’s also worth noting that PS3 users will only receive a PS4 version while Xbox 360 users will receive the Xbox One version. Don’t count on gifting your Xbox One/PS4 version to other players either since it remains tied to your account. You’ll be able to transfer your multiplayer and DLC to the current gen versions at your leisure. Interestingly, if you buy the Xbox One/PS4 versions, you can also net free Xbox 360/PS3 versions in the process.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare releases on November 4th for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. Stay tuned for more information on the same.
