Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: All the new details for this week

Posted By | On 08th, Jul. 2012

Call of Duty players will remember the Nuketown map from Black Ops, which is re-imagined and headed to its sequel as Nuketown 2025, however, even though the map design and the general visuals were off putting to many, the map ended up being incredibly successful.

“I think it’s a little bit of all of those ‘variables’. It was sort of the perfect storm of, just, magic – all the things that came together and made it happen,” Treyarch’s Bunting said in a podcast with Dan Amrich.

“It was imperative to create a map where players would constantly be colliding with one another and finding themselves in gunfights quickly.

He added: “kind of like all of the core fundamentals of level design refined down to simplicity with no fluff, and then throw in on top of that the easter eggs and campiness to it. Of course, that makes it fun.”
