Call of Duty Black Ops 3

With Call of Duty Black Ops 3 coming relatively soon, we’re getting lots of new information about the game, some of it coming straight from the horse’s mouth. The first little piece of info comes thanks to Twitter. One particular fan asked Treyarch’s director of development about playing the game cross-platform. The user pointed out that with Windows 10, people will be able to play some games on both the Xbox One and the PC. That user then asked whether or not Black Ops 3 will feature this kind of cross platform play.

In no uncertain terms, it appears Treyarch is not going to be using this particular feature. Some might say there was a margin for error, because the director said that the company wasn’t planning to support cross platform “at this time.” That does mean that at some point, the company might change it’s mind, but it seems unlikely at best.

Even more information was revealed by Game Reactor who just published an interview it did with David Vonderhaar during E3.

Among other things, Vonderhaar talked the “moments of brilliance” that comes along with playing as one of the specialists in the game. Once you become one of these characters, there are two choices you can make. You can either unlock their special abilities, or you can use their special weapons. The way the game will unfold will be impacted by the choices you make and what paths you go down.

It won’t be too much longer until we see this for ourselves as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will release for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC on November 6th.
