Call of Duty Black Ops 3

Now that we know that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is going to have a zombie mode, the real question is, “just how cool is this particular zombie mode going to be?” Gamezone has a new video interview with director Treyarch’s Jason Blundell, who is the director of the new zombie mode, called Shadows of Evil. Among the things the director talked about was Treyarch’s goal of making sure the mode had plenty of replayability.

Blundell has said the game was given a rich experience because the company wants to make sure that people want to play the game over and over. In order to do this, the team strove to make the deepest and most intricate realization of the zombie mode to date. “For the city, for the combatants against you, for the easter eggs laid through there, through the weapons, through the interplay and the dialogue which reveals lots of story things if you’re a zombie guy and you’re into the narrative and where we’re going in which, we very much are — all that stuff is led in and you can’t get that in a single playthrough,” Blundell explained in the video.

Blundell added that he wants players to get new information and discover new items in the “fiftieth” play through. In order to really focus on zombie offerings in this game, the company is offering those who preorder the special editions of the game will get access to the Giant Map. This is apparently a remake of the popular “Der Riese” Zombies map. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this November.
