Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be receiving a mid-season update next week, on January 14, and it’ll be a pretty meaty one. Both Multiplayer and Zombies will be expanding, with a couple of new maps and modes for players to dive into.

On the multiplayer side of things, Fireteam will be getting a new map. Called Sanatorium, it’s decribed as “a Soviet experimental health retreat” in the Ural Plains (via Charlie Intel). It is characterized by wooded hills, a main hotel, more structures scattered about the map, as well as a large wooden dock.

A new mode, called Drop Kick 6v6, is also being added. Two teams will compete for a briefcase, with a round beginning with both teams racing to a spot on the map to pick it up. Once the briefcase is picked up, the team carrying it sees a constant increase in their score. The briefcase carrier is equipped with a powerful pistol, while teammates try and protect them. There are limited respawns based on what’s happening with the briefcase, and the first team to get to 200 points wins.

Meanwhile, Zombies is getting new modes as well. Cranked is a limited-time mode, in which if you don’t kill a Zombie for too long, you will literally explode. Additionally, exclusively for PlayStation players, the Onslaught mode is also getting the map Raid added to its playlist.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
