Call of Duty Ghosts Onslaught DLC Revealed: New Weapon, New Extinction Content, Michael Meyers

Halloween arrives early, kiddies.

Infinity Ward has finally revealed its plans for Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC in 2014. It announced that it will have four packs – Onslaught, Devastation, Invasion and Nemesis – with Onslaught to release first on January 28th.

Onslaught will feature four new maps with “Fog” dominating the earlier teaser released. In this map, you can complete different field orders in order to assume the role of Michael Meyers from Halloween. That’s not including the abandoned structures, creepy music and crazy torture devices. “Bay View” is a close up map set on a Californian boardwalk wherein players can call for artillery strikes from the neighbouring Destroyer.

“Containment” is set in a run-down Mexican village with a truck containing radioactive material right smack dab in the cnter while “Ignition” takes inspiration from Modern Warfare 2’s “Scrapyard” map. The added addition to the latter comes in the form of two test rocket engine sites that rain down fire on foes.

You’ll also gain control of a new weapon – a dual purpose Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle called the Maverick – along with the first in an episodic campaign series for the Extinction mode. “Episode 1: Nightfall” will look to explain the origins of the aliens along with including new objectives, new maps and a new, towering foe.

The DLC can be picked up via the Season Pass for $49.99. Does it strike your fancy? Let us know below.
