Call of Duty: Ghosts Pre-Order Bonus Lets You Play as MW2’s Ghost

Become the legend...that they named a dog after.

When Call of Duty: Ghosts was first doing the rounds in the rumour mill, many assumed it would be a prequel that would focus on the origins of Modern Warfare 2’s Ghost (who suffered his subsequent demise in the same game). Though that ultimately turned out to be false, Infinity Ward isn’t ignoring the resemblance that Ghosts bears to the Special Forces in their newest game.

The developer has in fact announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be receiving Modern Warfare 2’s Ghost in the form of a playable skin as pre-order DLC. Interestingly, his full name is listed as Simon “Ghost” Riley. The dog’s name is also Riley. Coincidence? Conspiracy?

Regardless, if you pre-order from GameStop you’ll also receive the Freefall map, a double XP weekend and the Ghost skin. Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5th for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U with next-gen versions due when the PS4 and Xbox One launch in November.
